And just in case you thought the idea of Local Authorities assessing the demand for self-build land in their area, and then catering for that demand, sounds far-fetched (see previous post), take a look at this.
East Staffordshire are the first off the blocks as far as I can see, but under the terms of the new National Planning Policy Framework, all Local Authorities will have to following suit as they review their Local Plans. It will be intriguing to see the result of East Staffs’ consultation, which closes on May 18th.
